18 to 25 year old focus
I think we must concentrate some time on bringing some sort of normality back for 18 to 25 year olds. The current restrictions are now causing serious strain on their mental health. Whether it be a designated cohort like the extended family or some venue specifically for them, we must introduce some socialisation. As a mum of four within this age group I am becoming increasingly concerned of the damage our new norm is creating. All four have stuck by the rules. Volunteered and actively pursued measures to stay strong mentally but it's not enough and without an endpoint the struggle is becoming evident.
Why the contribution is important
The youth of today are the future for tomorrow and we need healthy young individuals to move forward. The damaging effects of the restrictive measures will have to be addressed in the near future when we will have a sever depletion of a healthy workforce and an unimaginable strain on our mental health services.
