Community outreach

In a survey about whether people self-isolate when they should, the single biggest factor for non-adherance was low knowledge about government guidance.

Community level outreach - door knocking to share information - has worked elsewhere to improve this situation. This would not target people self isolating, or check that they are "following the rules". It is purely people going door to door (safely) to share information, see how people are, and point them in the direction of any support that might be available to them.

We should make some money available for this.

This could help to address the single biggest cause of people not self isolating when they should. It would also give a local community face to things, steer people to available services, and create some useful jobs with low barriers of entry.
