Controlled viral exposure

Lockdown those who are deemed at risk, and people who may have to be in contact with people who are deemed at risk, for a 4 week period.
During the 4 week period encourage as much social interaction as possible between the people not in lockdown. The equivalent of a chicken pox party.
Lift lockdown.
Do not reintroduce any restrictions other than encouraging people to still be careful amongst those at risk, and encourage those at risk to minimise social contact.
Continue until a vaccine it's administered to those at risk.

Why the contribution is important

The current regulations are destroying our mental health, economy, quality of life, and is causing more long term harm than the short term harm of this pandemic ever could.

I absolutely endorse the idea of controlled virus exposure. This makes complete sense to me.
People should be allowed to get on with their lives now and accept that the virus is with us for the long term. We are used to social distancing, hand washing and wearing face coverings.
The vulnerable must continue to be protected.
