Don’t close hospitality in Arran
Dear Scottish government.
I understand you are being guided by science. And that you want to use targeted interventions. And that you don’t want to ruin hospitality where possible.
Why don’t you allow Arran to operate as the rest of the country outside of the central belt. There are 0 cases of COVID-19 in Arran. 0. Nil. Nada.
So why would you lock Arran down, crippling the businesses there at the time of the October holidays when many people will be planning to spend huge sums of money and help these businesses.
There is no Public health reason for it.
Why the contribution is important
The economy matters, many islands economies are heavily dependent on tourism. This will be the death knell in many businesses in Arran.
Arran is being unfairly targeted due to the healthboard it is in, not based on any science.
It has no cases at all. Why is it being shut down?!?!?
