Flu vaccination and Covid risk

Covid numbers are rising at the same time as flu vaccines are being rolled out. Would it not be wise to have Covid test before having flu vaccination and to take extra precautions against infections for a period afterwards to make sure your immune system is not having to deal with flu vaccine and coronavirus infection at the same time?
