Increase protection for those who are vulnerable.

Maybe those who were shielding previously should be given the choice to be supported not to go to work, therefore limiting their contact with others, whilst cases are high and rising. This should be entirely their decision . This would allow some of the most vulnerable people to decide whether they feel this is needed to further limit their individual risk of covid.

Because those who were shielding or are vulnerable should have a say. They were considered to be at a very high risk of severe illness previously. Whilst the virus is spreading that risk is very much still there.
