Indoor Contact Sports

Right now indoor contact sport is not allowed. Martial Arts gyms all over Scotland are suffering terribly.
I own a Brazillian Jiu -jistsu gym in Glasgow and we have students who are brothers, brother & sister or Husband and Wife. They live in the same household yet they are unable to train together in the gym.
The gym is socially distanced to allow 2 meters space on the mat, sanitised after every class and the students get their temperature taken before being allowed to enter the premises. Classes are pre booked to avoid over crowding.
I propose letting members of the same household train together.
Also creating bubbles of 2 members not in the same household to let them train together. They would not train at any other gym and with no other student other than their training partner. This small change could safely bring back some normality for people who actively train, compete and enjoy these sports.
We are coming to almost 7 months now and the contact sport sector is being left in the shadows.

Why the contribution is important

This is important for the well being of people who enjoy an active lifestyle. For most people who take part these sports are their life. It is great for their mental health and fitness. Also it would help hundreds of Martial arts gyms throughout Scotland recover financially.
