Information drip feed.

Unless you watch the First Ministers briefing, you don't have a clue what's happening and what our numbers for Scotland are.

My idea is that all local radio stations should start including the CV numbers for Scotland at the end of their hourly news briefs. The intention is not to saturate people but just as a way to keep people informed what is happening.

I also think the screens in our train stations should have scot gov adverts on them, again as a way to drip feed. This can be done in a positive way and not all doom and gloom.

Why the contribution is important

Just to keep it front and centre of our daily lives if in our city centres. Yes the only people who are city centre are people who work there at present, and shoppers, but in think its valuable in getting the message out there, and bear in mind that just now we do still have tourists in our country.

I think we have at least another 6 months of this edited way of life but if we pull together we can do it.

We are more than aware of the numbers it’s everywhere. Most are chooning out due to the bombardment

I take your point, and think it would definately be helpful to give people a clearer idea of how things look in their local area. But I'm not sure how you could deliver such info in public places without it coming across as doom and gloomy when the numbers are going up.

Also, the scottish government website updates the daily stats on their dashboard each day, so if you miss the numbers it's there for anyone that wants it. Personally though, I think people are just getting fatigued and the numbers stop meaning anything to them after a while. I listen to the updates most days, but occasionally have to take a break because you start to feel so worn down by it.

I feel there had to be a let up from the continual bombardment of statistics mainly used to scare vulnerable people

Thanks for comments, great to generate discussion! Maybe I should have been clearer about drip feeding the information, I meant for the message to come direct from Scot Gov, and not some media channels that quite frankly scaring people. Totally agree.

I like the fact that we are seeing measured messages from Scot Gov on Youtube etc.

Don't get me wrong I'm scunnered with it too. I find that some social media channels are just chocablock with scaremongering, hence the idea of more measure and considerate messaging.

    Thanks everyone.
