Masks in workplaces

Can there be clearer guidance developed regarding the wearing of masks in buildings with offices? I think they should be made mandatory when entering or leaving a building, in corridors, toilets, etc.

Why the contribution is important

I have witnessed office workers entering a building close together, not wearing masks and with only one door for arriving and leaving.

absolutely not. As a disabled person I don't want to be intimidated by my colleagues on a daily basis or forced to disclose my hidden disabilities on a daily basis. The pandemic does not give any employer, or the Scottish Government, the right to discriminate.

This would be awful for the disabled.

Furthermore, it is totally unnecessary for the rest of the population if other measures are taken in work places. People need to be able to breathe freely, and they need to be able to see colleagues faces.

The barrier to human interaction caused by masks (for all, not just the deaf for example) is very bad for mental health. Such harms are being massiely underestimated already.

Totally disagree - it should be up to the individual if they wish to wear a make or not - and it discriminates against hidden disabilities

This is already the case in corridors and canteens in workplaces. It should be mandatory in all offices now, not just corridors. There's little logic in making people wear masks when running in and out of a shop for 2 minutes but making it ok to sit in offices for hours without wearing a mask. If you disagree, don't listen to me, listen to the British Medical Association, who are now calling for mask wearing to be compulsory in all workplaces and offices. Might be uncomfortable and unnatural not to see people's faces but if it saves lives that's too bad.

Face coverings should be mandatory in all indoor workplaces and external workplaces if 2 meter distancing cannot be maintained. Face coverings should be worn in homes if you have visitors to your household. Basically if you are with people outside of your household then you must wear a face covering unless eating or drinking.
