More support for hospitality staff
Hospitality venues are one of the safest places to be at the moment as they are required to follow the guidelines to stay open. These same restrictions won’t be followed in people’s houses at parties which is now something that is inevitable with bars and restaurants being shut. The 10pm curfew is dangerous as it will just mean people will go back to house parties as they won’t want their night to end at 10pm.
Hospitality should be allowed to remain open and licensing officers should be present a lot more to crack down on those places not following restrictions. Hospitality staff need more support as the majority will soon be out a job with businesses having to close down due to the temporary closure.

Why the contribution is important
Hospitality venues should not be penalised for the spread of the virus when they are some of the safest places to be as there are strict restrictions in place. Staff in hospitality sectors make up a huge percentage of the Scottish workforce, and venue closures and tight restrictions will mean they will be out of employment and struggling.
