Open up surgeries and dentists

While saving vulnerable people and be protected from COVID-19, we are being denied GP appointments and testing that is critical so we don’t end up dying from other causes or suffer for months. We also need to have our children’s oral hygiene to be well looked after and not just be offered temporary fillings.
We need our NHS dental health back. It makes no sense that the NHS is denying any treatment and the GPs are telling us to urge us to go pay in private!!

Why the contribution is important

People are being denied basic health treatments which is opposed to any basic human right.

GP surgeries are open and have been through out the pandemic. To ensure safety for all we are triaging all requests by phone first

My local surgery is like Ft Knox. Not exactly an environment to encourage people to attend. There is a reason why deaths from so many other (non -Covid) causes have gone up so dramatically.

My friend who is a midwife just told me her dentist will treat her privately but not on NHS..So 60 quid for a treatment that the NHS should be doing.
Another friend tells me her elderly father with serious lung disease cannot get a flu jab in the care home he is in because the home is waiting on PHS to offer guidence....so Jea freeman says get your jab but they can't???

The whole thing is a shambles and it seems there are plenty of people in the NHS not offering treatments or care- so why are we paying their salaries? They should be laid off, or made redundant like I have in the private sector..

My children and I cannot be seem by our dentist unless we pay to go privately. How shocking is this and once again the Scottish government are disproportionately impacting low income families.
What about the fact the dentists look out for the vulnerable in our society - are they just to be forgotten about and swept under the carpet until Scot gov decide they need their polling numbers up?

I do not understand why dentists are still providing such limited treatment - they are trained to manage infection control , existing standards are high and with correct PPE this will be enhanced.

I want all staff to be safe and personally would self isolate prior to treatment to enable it to happen.
Again Government needs to take control of this and get services reinstated.
