Promote common sense

People have been scared by this media frenzy and are unlikely to relax their guard any time soon.
But by Promoting the idea of accepting and getting on with things we can hasten a comfortable return to normal.

I think more people are scared by the “idea” of covid or the social stigma accossociated with being infected than by the reality's of the illness. So we should aim to undo some of the scarecrows the media have erected.

In the beginning we were right to be prudent but the data now clearly shows that in all but a tiny percentage of people there is nearly no symptoms. The disease is NOT going away, and the people who are vulnerable are not magically going to stop being vulnerable with another poverty provoking lockdown or additional set of hoops to be jumped through.

So; utilise some common sense:
If you are vunerable or feel worried you have the ability to protect your self, and a simple bottle of hand wash and a mask is all you need. Lines and dots on pavements, ques outside of shops, minimum capacity pubs and classrooms are simply just delaying infection. Not preventing it.
We are all going to be exposed to it sooner or later.

Everyone else should be given the freedom to choose their own path. Free to work and free to go about their lives without state interference.

And one more thought,
If we go down the road of another lock down. How long before this becomes the new normal and we endure forced lockdowns when ever flu season arrives, or when ever the hospital beds get alittle full...??

Why the contribution is important

It suggests the first step in backing out of this situation without public backlash.

I agree. The media is guilty of scaremongering and causing panic. They are responsible for the majority of the unfounded fear people now have. Some media outlets now thankfully have started to give an alternative opinion and challenge the ‘new normal’.
We should all be allowed to make our own decisions and if someone feels at risk then they can take their own Precautions. We cannot keep shutting down life.
