Ridiculous

If the borders were closed in the first place and we went into lockdown back in February we wouldn’t be in this mess. It’s beyond a joke now, I’m completely sympathetic of people who have lost their loved ones due to this virus but the country needs to get back to normal. People, working class people are losing their jobs, more and more people are being made redundant/fired, students and young people losing out on vital years of their lives. A lot of vulnerable people will agree that the country needs to start operating again instead of going back and forth into restrictions/no restrictions/lockdown. It isn’t working, it’s a complete shambles. What about mental health cares rising? Not a thing has been done for the thousands increased suicide risks etc. Wear a mask, wash your hands, have some common hygiene and get on with it.

Why the contribution is important

Because the current situation isn’t working, it makes the country look like a joke and the human rights of people are being taken away from them. Majority of Covid recorded deaths aren’t actually people dying with direct links to Covid, they’ve had other complications, pre existing health conditions, accidental deaths but tested positive. So the logic is if someone went out and stabbed someone but they tested positive with Covid would the cause of death be Covid? It’s genuinely so backwards. We’re going to go bankrupt, the country is at risk of people going into poverty and potential civil war. I study history, if a country keeps suppressing and taking the rights away from its people it inevitably leads to the people becoming angry towards the state.
