SECC Hospital

Several eminent virologists have pointed out that the local lockdowns have not ensured the number of infections reduced, therefore it is more appropriate to accept Covid is here and will be for a while. In some countries it has crossed species ( into bears and mink for example). It is therefore more sensible to reduce meetings of large groups but not to have strict lockdowns for 2-3 weeks for all of us. If capacity in the NHS is an issue use the £43 million hospital that was developed at the SECC. Regards staffing perhaps those who came back from retirement plus recruitment would staff it temporarily.

Why the contribution is important

The mental health of our citizens is suffering greatly and the hospitality industry and tourism are in a desperate situation. To put in local lockdowns that do not seem to work is only going to enhance this.
