Suitable Face Masks

Face masks with valves or vents do not filter the exhaled breath of the user, thereby not protection others around them, such as customers in shops or public transport users. Should this design of face mask not be banned because they are not fit for purpose?

Why the contribution is important

Without the exhaled breath being filtered by the valve or flap this design of face mask will not prevent the spread of the virus.

Airlines are starting to ban masks with valves as they offer no protection to others. Masks offer some protection to the wearer but mainly protect others so there is no reason why these masks should be being used for Covid-19 protection.
