Weddings
You NEED to wise up about weddings!! Not only are you hanging a huge industry out to dry, you are causing serious anguish and, in some cases, financial distress for couples. I have had my wedding planned since 2018 and am currently daunted by my 2nd postponement due to Covid. I hope you are tracking the data from places like Belgium who have limited restrictions on wedding and NI where guests are dependent on venue size and risk assessment. Have these proved to be events where the virus has spread?
There is little evidence to back up your current guidelines and no clear road map of how/when they will change. As a teacher, I mix without around 200 households a day which you say is fine. Yet, I can’t mix with more than 20 of my family for the most significant celebration of my life?! Something has got to give here.

Why the contribution is important
People are restless, people are fed up. Things have to change - hiding from the virus is not good enough.
By ignoring weddings you are causing irreparable damage to a huge industry in Scotland and causing serious stress/anxiety for couples that are affected.
