PLEASE MAKE FACEMASKS MANDATORY IN ALL WORK ENVIRONMENTS

Why the contribution is important

Face masks should be worn in workplaces like factory's and officers etc... as people don't adhere to any social distancing, they come straight up to you even though there is signage all around the work place, they cough and sneeze next to you without covering their mouths, they act as if they just don't care about others or themselves and these are middle aged workers, I and others would like to be more protected from some people's ignorance, as I have no other choice but to go to work, no choice to protect myself and my family, PLEASE MAKE FACEMASKS MANDATORY IN ALL WORK ENVIRONMENTS shop workers have to wear them, nurses etc... have to wear them too its not hard to do, I wear one all day, this will protect us all and save more life and bring down the infection rate a lot quicker.

    It is very hard to do for many people, if not impossible. Furthermore, the mental health impact of not seeing people's faces is significant - we need human interaction. This would make working life a misery at a time when there are enough strains on people.

    The solution to the problem described is not not face coverings!

    Absolutely right. If we need to wear a facemask for a few minutes while briefly passing others in a shop we certainly need them when working, especially if this is for a number of hours, indoors with other people who don't practice social distancing. In fact social distancing is meaningless indoors in badly ventilated rooms. Another post talks about mask wearing being impossible and causing mental health issues. I haven't met anyone who enjoys wearing a mask but if it's to protect people's lives then we have to get used to it.
