4 day working week

4 day working week or atleast the option for every working person in Scotland and I'd also add in to that give every single person the option to work from home if they can.

Why the contribution is important

This for many people has been a stressful time, especially people who can't see family or suffer from mental health problems and need to go to work, gym etc and have a routine. But what about the other end of the spectrum. The people who have enjoyed getting out of the rat race that is modern society. We work too much and don't spend enough time doing the things that really matter and this has made many people realise this.

People permanently working from home if they choose to will lower stress, anxiety, reduce carbon emissions. Some people become more productive at home also.

This could help relieve pressure on public transport and space within workplaces. As well as being a good way for many people.

More focus on work home balance with employers told NOT to contact at home when not working!

Also looking at sectors such as childcare where staff are expected to do training courses after a full day of work.....sometimes til 9pm. This needs to stop!!

Shifting to this focus would go some way to reinstate work as a PART of life instead of the main activity that the rest of life is expected to fit around.
