A green exit

We must have a green exit from lockdown, without the proposed halts on meeting our environmental targets. This situation has made it clearer than ever that the longer we abuse the environment we depend on to survive, the more we will bear the brunt of the fallout of our actions. It is paramount we do not lose sight of this, and that we take this opportunity to recognise and harness the ability for people to make massive change when required.
If we make these required changes now, we will be able to move forward with choices on how we can stop the climate and biodiversity crisis with the least negative repercussions to ourselves. If we wait and do nothing, this choice will no longer be available to us and we will be forced into an even more desperate situation than the one we are currently dealing with.
We must learn from this terrible situation, as a show of respect to the tragedy experienced by so many.

Why the contribution is important

Because it has repercussions for both the current situation and inevitable future ones.
