Access to Chiropody Services

Chiropody services are closely related to health services but are more likely to be provided privately. They are professionally trained to provide their services and more likely to understand the need for safe delivery of those services. Could such private services could be considered for early approval to re-open clinics.

Why the contribution is important

Regular visits are needed to maintain foot health by the elderly.

    Chiropodists, like hairdressers, beauticians and such services which are provided on a person-to - person basis, should be allowed as home visits. Many older people use cleaning services in their houses and this is also a service that should be allowed. All these of course using appropriate PPE.

    A plea for access to chiropody services. As a person with mobility issues who can’t handle their own toes and who lives alone, I would really welcome the re-introduction of this service. Ingrown toenails are painful and with the right PPE and a proper chair, Plus 5horough cleansing do think it could be safely done.
    I’m not in favour of much relaxation at all, even though I am finding it mentally tough, but this would really help me and many older, physically challenged people.

    Yes, again, I sympathise with this request.

    This might be possible as long as everyone wore the appropriate masks while delivering services and while attending appointments. This should prevent germs being left behind from coughing or sneezing etc.

    Ideally, there would be no-one in waiting rooms so time would need to be left between appointments.
