To allow both parents to attend antenatal scans. Currently only the pregnant person may attend but the partner is not allowed. Most cases partner stays with pregnant person therefore what is the harm?

I agree if the parents live together the risk is not greatly increased by both attending with masks / proper hand washing in place.

Allowing mum to be the ability to film the scan or partner could join in by near me might be a realistic compromise?

Nhs do not allow use of cameras or phones in the scans.

I still dont See why a parent should have to miss out on seeing their child for the first time especially if the parents live together. It adds stress to the pregnancy especially if it’s a first time pregnancy.
