Allow family to move in with each other

Allow family members/partners to move in with other family members. This should be able to be done not only locally but also on a wider travel basis.

To avoid potential transference of virus from one area to another, the family members moving should not be showing any symptoms of the virus (no fever/cough) at the time of the move and should undertake to stay in the property (including garden) for 14 days (thus self isolating) before being allowed to follow the other guidelines (such as daily exercise/shopping etc). As per current guidelines, if anyone in the household develops symptoms of the virus, that person would isolate for 7 days and all other members of the household for 14 days.

Why the contribution is important

Its important for mental health that families are able to come together wherever possible. It may be that those wishing to move fall within the vulnerable group but live in a city flat with no garden. They were perhaps hit by "lockdown" before being able to take up any alternative solution. Being able to move to a family member, with garden, would alleviate the anxieties of leaving a property for fresh air without causing risk to them or others.

I think this is very important. Perhaps family members moving from one part of the country to see other family members could submit some kind of online form for tracing if it is necessary. It is getting vital that family groups, whose members have all been healthy during the lockdown can look forward to planned safe time together. Many people in Scotland have been observing all the rules . Many can be trusted to continue these as we tentatively move forward. I believe most people don't want to rush until all safety measures are in place

Should not be restricted to family living in the same area provided travel done sensibly and social distancing observed as suggested.

Absolutely agree about distance to travel should not matter.

Very much agree with this sentiment. It would also make it so much easier for those who are having to juggle working from home and home schooling their children. Being able to see relatives would ease a big chunk of that burden. It's also good to recognise that many people are adhering to the rules and have been on lockdown for almost 2 months now, so allowing them to cohabit would propose very little risk.
