Allow for home repairs/improvements by expert tradespeople where social distancing can be enacted.

    Where people can work safely and at minimum distance, it's a win/win situation. The tradespeople can generate some income, broken things can be fixed, new work can be carried out which will be a morale booster.

    Allow them to get back to work. Most people will be sensible with tradesmen visiting their homes.

    Totally agree this is a good idea. I would happily have someone do some of the work needed on my house as long as they maintained social distancing and observed hygiene rules. Really helps small business owners and the local economy but we would need to make sure dumps and recycling centres were open.

    Agree. We moved a year ago and are lucky to have some money put aside for some small improvements. It would be easy to socially distance while a tradesman replaces an oven, a tap, or a carpet. It will surely help the small businesses continue.

    There are a few small but important jobs I need to be done but cannot ask workers to come to the house
    If small jobs are left they will develop into big expensive jobs
    This is worrying as our budget is not great

    I think it's been shown that the virus can live in the air inside for some time. Given this, perhaps tradesfolk should wear masks when in the property of their customers and ensure good hand-washing, social distancing etc.
