Allow less restricted ferry travel

There needs to be less restriction on ferry travel for those who have a provable island connection as long as distancing measures are in place.

Day trippers need not yet be included.

Why the contribution is important

Just as restrictions are eased so those whose journey entails ferry travel need a workable travel plan for a range of reasons related to mental health, property care and socialisation.

I'll play the devils advocate - If I'm not allowed to travel to rural areas then can I assume they are not travelling to my area, so why is this required?
Taking the devils advocate hat off, yes I agree, manage the risk and why not?

poor idea for the next wee while. allow only supplies etc as islands are best placed to rid themselves of the virus first

Too right! I agree that at least at first, travel to and from the islands should be restricted to those of us who live here - but display of a current utility bill or addressed envelope should easily suffice in making such status clear to CalMac operators. But we cannot allow a situation to persist where the rest of Scotland gradually sets about being able to travel while islanders remain effectively locked in place.
