Allow non exercise outdoor time

Allow non exercise , non time limited outdoor time.

Why the contribution is important

The lockdown as it is discriminates against people without gardens i.e. the less well off.

Many people live in flats with no gardens and this rule creates an us vs. them feeling

The burden of the lockdown is easier for those with outside space, this would reduced the unfairness and create more of a sense that we are actually in it together rather than some being considerably better off than others

Keeping people locked up inside for 23 hours a day is inhumane - 1 hour of sunlight is not enough (our flat gets no natural light)

You'll be able to continue other aspects of lock-down longer if you allow people to at least get out into the sun for more than 1 hour a day

You'll have to have police patrolling the park breaking up large groups, not a pleasant task but you can't let the perfect be the enemy of the good,

People shouldn't be treated like criminals. People have human rights and this is being completely ignored at present. We should be allowed to make our own decision

I would agree that going out for a walk for longer than an hour is acceptable as long as you keep moving, no loitering/ sitting around.
I don't agree that 'we should be allowed to make our own decision' at this time, people are very good at being given an inch and taking a mile. Our restrictions are nowhere near as severe as some countries have been yet the rules have been flouted from week 1 by a minority at first but others have joined in 'making their own decisions'. We're very good at justifying our disregard of instructions and finding 'loopholes' in them for our own, individual ends when we're very well aware what the spirit of the rules are and what they are for.

I personally don't think this is a good idea. I'm sorry but we're meant to be limiting our contact with other people. Going out for anything other than exercise is not ideal at this time. If you're not walking a dog or exercising then what are you doing? Standing around? Blocking walk ways and pavements. Sitting on a bench that a person who is taking exercise might need to sit on to have a rest on. Sunbathing? No.

Mental health is as important as physical health. Why is sitting in a public park, 2 metres away from someone else, wrong?
