Allow RSPB etc to open the reserves for visitors

I think the RSPB, National Trust for Scotland, Historic Scotland and SWT should be allowed to reopen their grounds for visitors to walk in. NOT their visitor centres, cafes etc. They could be asked to alter their parking facilities and block off every other space so that people could park at a safe distance from each other. People could be asked not to picnic or such and consume food in their vehicles.

Why the contribution is important

I think it is important because people need safe access to outdoors for physical and mental health.

Yes, this would be a great idea. However, the charities would have to receive some financial support to do this. At present charities, including the NTS for whom i work as a manager of a nature reserve, has had to furlough staff for financial reasons (less income coming in from entrance fees to properties with paygates, and cancelled membership subscriptions). There is much work that staff could carry out to conserve the features of interest in the outdoor areas of properties without putting staff or public at risk.
