Allow small construction sites to open

There are a lot of houses that were in the middle of a project when the lockdown started.

Assuming that proper Risk assessments have been carried out to ensure social distancing, it woul help if these projects could be completed.

I'm not suggesting new projects be allowed to start.

Why the contribution is important

House owners can get their house back, and the small firms that operate in this sector can get back to work and earning wages.

please also consider allowing new projects to begin providing social distancing can be maintained as some people have houses in disrepair (like the back of my house) which are due to be fixed as part of a larger project

    All construction should be restarted

There is certainly nothing which speaks again individual tradesmen, who would be working on the own in an empty property, being able to commence work, except if they can't get supplies because the wholesalers and suppliers are shut ....

    Totally agree with this.

I've just been in M&S shop in Esso garage and the 3 staff are all stood together chatting - no social distancing there.

All construction should recommenced but , as has been said, it will be easier for small sites to work easily with new distancing recommendations.
Sites in other countries and 'essential' sites in Scotland have been working with difficulty.
