Allow sole activities

I see suggestions of allowing angling, golf however I think this needs to be wider. If an activity can be done alone, golf, fishing, hill walking, taking a drive in the car alone or run on a motorbike etc then these should be allowed to resume.

Why the contribution is important

If we can stand socially distanced in a queue for a shop then surely we follow the same rules and pursue activities that have little to no human contact on a normal basis.

I think this would improve mental health and morale through this situation.

Needs a distance limitation so you arent stopping at shops etc further away but otherwise ok

Add birdwatching, photography, country & hillwalking - they're all essentially solo activities which can be done alone, or can easily accommodate social distancing & pose no risk of virus spread.

I agree there will be the right time for this to be allowed but there are a few measures that have to be taken before this happening & it depends what people plan to do at the end of a journey, like picnics etc.

I agree that the risks in solo activities are slim, and now that our NHS are managing the cases things can move forwards, but I still think waiting until in Scotland we reach a Zero death toll would be wise, before allowing this. Every motorised journey could result in an accident or breakdown requiring assistance of others.

Totally agree. Much much less risk doing any of these things that you have mentioned than going to the supermarket.

This makes sense but is so open to abuse, sadly I don’t think it’s achievable. If announced it would need more policing to make sure covidiots were not doing these activities in groups then denying they were doing anything wrong. Sorry to say this but it’s based on living near a park and watching the police regularly move on sunbathers who loudly argue they aren’t doing anything wrong as are ‘allowed out every day for fresh air’.

Motorcycling is ideal for social distancing. It can also support small fuel stations in rural areas.
It has positive health benefits for the rider. Unfortunately people who don't have motorcycling in their blood with may not understand this.
In summary, as long as the rider is riding sensibly and legally I believe they should be allowed out on their bike.
