Allow those with mental health and invisible illnesses to be with their loved ones if they are free of the virus

Allow people who suffer mentally and chronically to be with their loved ones who support them as these dark isolated times are showing the scary effects being away from loved ones is having on people’s mental health. This could also potentially reduce the suicide rate.

Why the contribution is important

This is important as it lets those who suffer from mental health have a platform of support they no longer have access to due to social distancing. The suicide rate could potentially go down as they feel supported and less isolated from the world.

The toll of this situation is immense - especially those with existing mental health problems.

My partner and I don't live together in the same household. For valid reasons.

As well as chronic health conditions, I also suffer from severe anxiety. Like many many others, isolation, loneliness, fear and a lack of support has made my condition so much worse.

Allowing others in this and similar situations, the elderly, single people, vulnerable people, single parents struggling just contact with ONE other person would make such a difference to so many other people.

Reading the comments here reflects this is the feelings of many others.

It will help to mitigate a different catastrophe that is upon us and threatens to overwhelm the NHS in a different way. A mental health catastrophe.
