There are many posts here about getting the property market moving again, but at the same time it's important to keep people safe.

Visits (for viewings, inspections, surveys, etc) should be allowed on unoccupied properties (for sale and rent) before occupied ones.

This is because with occupied properties, there are health issues with people coming into a space where people live. The visitors could be infected by the people living there, as it would be very difficult to disinfect properly first. And when the visitor leaves, the occupiers have to go straight back in, and may be infected by the visitors.

However, in an unoccupied property there is no such consideration. The owner can let people in while maintaining an safe distance, the visitors can walk around an empty property then leave.

Why the contribution is important

This can get some of the property market moving again, but whilst keeping people safe.
