Amalgamate duplicate suggestions
I ahev noted so far at least half a dozen suggestions relating to golf. All that I have looked at are locked. It would be far more sensible to amalgamate all the golf suggestions into a single topic, rather than having umpteen topics, all locked except one and no way to find out which is the active topic.
Why the contribution is important
Because it is sensible.

Particularly like the reason of the contribution "because its sensible".

Moving forward it would be better to implement some form of idea validation to prevent or at least reduce duplicate ideas. Adding paging to the comments associated with an idea would be beneficial, along with the option to display the most recent comment, first. Paging would also prevent length scrolling, to access the field to enter a new comment.

(And not coincidentally, all the excessive duplicates seem to come from a vocal minority with a very definite axe to grind.)

It is however important to recognise the different nuances of separate suggestions and avoid excessive grouping of ideas.
The "Idea topics" associated with each suggestion will no doubt be used for further grouping and consolidation of data but it is important not to lose sight of the rich range of contributions.
