An opt-in remote quarantine for the vulnerable

If there is no vaccine in sight, I propose we have an opt-in quarantine, in secured locations around the country, such as a luxury hotels, for those who are most vulnerable to the disease. Importantly this will combat loneliness.

There will need to be a transition into this. Those vulnerable people will have to self isolate for 14 days close to site before being admitted into the facility.

There must be a secure way that no unauthorised personnel can get in.

Once these people have been quarantined away in a safe place, we will be able to get the rest of the country back to work. Eventually achieving immunity in the population.

Once we can be sure that we have achieved immunity within the population, we can release the vulnerable people again - asking them to social distance until a vaccine is found.

Why the contribution is important

It provides a way to get people back to work safely, while protecting the most vulnerable in society.

Realistically, we won't be able to protect everyone. So by identifying and isolating the most vulnerable, we are reducing the amount of fatalities due to an easing of lockdown, inevitable human habits and people who do not respect social distancing rules.
