Archers are usually quite responsible people. The outdoor season for Archery is short, April to September usually. The issue for archers is the setting up of equipment, and the return of that equipment to store. Once this is accomplished there is usually some distance between archers. Most clubs are relatively small and while outdoors making a greater space between archers should not be too difficult. Surely we could get back to some outdoor shooting if masks were worn during set up and take down?

Archery is practised at all levels of ability, is social and good for mental health as well as physical health.
Indoor archery might require clubs to limit participants to allow social distancing but that should be possible by working out available time slots and allocating them as is done with some other services.

Why the contribution is important

People from all walks of life, with all sorts of physical abilities and shortcomings practise this sport. It is good as a social activity and improves mental health as well as physical health. Even a short shoot requires a fair bit of walking back and forth. This is part of "getting back to normal".
