Avoid restricting those who can get back to work

There will be creative resourceful self employed/family business people who are capable of following the government guidelines and resume work ....they will recognise this and be able to organise themselves back into active earning. Encourage this initiative.
Others will not be able to work on site yet because of the gregarious nature of the job. Be patient.


Why the contribution is important

People are going to need to take responsibility for looking at how they can safely return to work
Risk assessment becomes significant and something someone else cannot decide for you.
In due course, we need to be able to self test and risk assess to help with decision making.

    Absolutely. I do not understand why certain people are not allowed to work, for example construction workers who can easily maintain safe social distancing and work outdoors. Projects are being delayed, people are missing out on wages and the economy is grinding to a halt. A sensible risk assessment should be done to assess if work can be done safely in terms of reducing virus transmission.

    This is particularly important for those in the cleaning sector who can assist in the dealing of Coronavirus issues in domestic and commercial settings. As they have not been recognised as key workers their skill set is missed during the pandemic. Many cleaning specialists are bio hazard trained and do risk assessments. they should be recognised as part of the initiative to return to work

    The policy should change to one where an activity is allowed by default - unless there is a good reason (based in likelihood of transmission) that it should be stopped.
    At the moment, everything is stopped whether there is a risk of transmission or not.
