Ban smoking of any type outside public area entrances

Ban people from smoking or using vapour products in socially distanced ques and entrances to supermarkets/restaurants/shops..

Why the contribution is important

It is very difficult to evade smokers when they are smoking/vaping in the 2m distanced queue or right by the entrance to a supermarket. We can slow the spread of covid by ensuring we’re not breathing in Second hand smokes

Good idea. Foul habit, which would be fine if it didn’t affect the health of others.

While I dislike the smell/taste of second hand cigarette smoke and absolutely detested the sickening smell of people using those vaping things ... what would banning them do in terms of reducing the risk of transmission of this virus? The people who we've stopped smoking and vaping would still exhale. The only difference it would seem is that we wouldn't be so aware of how much used are we take in. Cigarette smoke doesn't make your breath further. It just makes it more obvious.

i agree with banning it in ques but just on the reason as its unsociable for others smelling it. I Am a x smoker but use a vape.. have read some evidence that smokers/vapers may have slightly less risks of catching or dealing with virus once caught something possibly to do with the Nicotine in there bodies.

Not banning completely - just outside public areas where people are queuing to get in or an entrance to a supermarket. This has happened to me 4 separate times already on my weekly shop to Asda or morrisons and it’s really unpleasant breathing in what others are breathing out

I agree but even more important to ban smoking outside communal entrance to blocks of flats. Scotland is the only country in the UK that allows this. Young children have to use these entrances day in, day out. Now we have the added risk of virus particles circulating from the smokers.

hate to say this but it is true smokers are less likely to catch covid-19 than non smokers, and that is just a scientific fact. sorry

Behave yourself ,what harm is it doing you if your keeping 2 metres away from a smoker.
