Being able to see your partner when you live separately
Smaller than creating a bubble of 10 people, now that lockdown has been in place for some weeks, I think that partners in a romantic relationship that live separately should be allowed to see each other. This should be in a controlled manner where perhaps a document can be used to produce to the police to show your reason for travel. My partner lives in Glasgow and I live in Aberdeen, we can’t move in due to parenting & work commitments where we live. We’d be in our own cars not stopping anywhere else in between other than reaching our destination at each other houses. Can’t see that this would cause a great deal of risk in terms of virus spreading.
Why the contribution is important
It’s important for mental well-being to be able to see your partner. Virtual connection is great but after many weeks becomes very difficult not actually being able to be with one another.
