Building confidence of the workforce to go back to work

Before reopening businesses should undertake a risk assessment. Government should help with specialist support in this area. One concern about reopening small, even large businesses, is employee confidence that health and safety has been properly addressed. An approved risk assessment should give employees that assurance. The risk assessment should be followed up with inspections/audits in order to maintain the required safety standards. There would be many Health & Safety professionals willing to support this effort.

Why the contribution is important

Failure to build confidence will simply delay the economic recovery.
