  I see no harm in taking a drive 'isolated' in a car in the fresh air to get out of the house. However, this thought does not approve of gatherings of people in close proximity outdoors or indoors during the journey.
  Of course, my opinion is biased as I live alone (with 2 dogs) so contact with others can be easily restricted .

  I have a static caravan 70 miles away, I could travel there with all the provisions I need and remain socially distant as I can do at home, so where is the harm in that

  Totally agree - people should be allowed to drive for exercise and to do so in a social distancing manner.

  I agree. I would like to travel by car to look after my late dad's house every week which does not involve contact with anyone- very low risk of transmission in my view.

  Nothing wrong going for a car drive or in my case a motorcycle ride. I am self isolating on my bike and never come in to contact With anybody when out for ride it would be the same as driving your car as your in your own bubble as long long as People adhering to the social distancing rules.

  Agree, distance travelled in a car is not a factor in transmitting virus.

  Manufacturers are advising people to make journeys of at least 25 minutes once a week to keep the vehicle in good order. This does not have to involve any breaking of social distancing.
