Change licensing laws to allow deliveries

Make changes to the law so that licensed premises can deliver alcohol to a home address ( with or without food)

Why the contribution is important

For the preservation of pubs and bars by giving them an amended business model which is fully compliant with current restrictions.

Only in Scotland would someone think it important to home deliver alchohol. How on earth would we ensure it wasn't abused. More focus needs to go into how to make pubs and restaurants safe to use.

This is not about the desirability of home consumption it is about business continuity. Legislation allows pubs and bars to exist and to sell alcohol. Why send those businesses to the wall because if a failure to spot that the business model needs a tweak to allow it to survive.

This is already happening.. I’ve seen posts of alcohol / cocktail deliveries being carried out with social distancing...

I've seen a news report where a delivery service was stopped because it was outside the licensing laws.
