Church opening is a necessity for at least 50% of people

Seating can be altered and restricted to conform with regs + the sanitising of areas+ the non human contact of materials etc.

Personel hygiene masks etc can be provided again to comply with recommendations.

Why the contribution is important

Faith and prayer is a way of life.

    Prayers can be heard anywhere.

Although prayers can be heard anywhere, actually attending mass, being in the church, it's very very different. I agree that faith is important and more so now than ever, but it might be difficult to adhere to social distancing, especially in smaller churches with large community.

50% of the population are regular church-goers? I think not!

Completely agree, would be easy to implement social distancing and is a very important part of life for many of our people

Churches will open through time... I Am... sure all of the 4 UK Governments Will carefully take there guidance from science and these important decisions will be lead by the scientific facts regarding unlocking the whole of the United Kingdom... as the Unity has been great to see during these difficult times...

I'm happy for churches to open and socially-distanced services to be held, as long as they do not celebrate communion or permit handshakes/hugs etc.

The Catholic Church does not need to seek the authority of the Scottish Government as it's authority comes from God, who trumps that of any secular politician and government. Therefore Bishops, if they weren't so weak and lacking in faith, could open the Churches.

It must be remembered that secularists keep talking about separation of faith and politics yet are interfering with the faithful of all religions. This is a very disturbing development of state interference, which will be used again by secularist to oppress Christians in the future.

For many people the church has a vital social function far beyond praying and reopening churches with safety measures could massively help the congregation get through this.
