Clear Wedding Guidance

Please set out clear guidance on weddings over the coming months. When can we expect registers to reopen? What will wedding numbers be restricted to and for how long? This is vital information couples need to know going forward over the coming months on whether or not rearrangements will need to be made. Please give the public some clear guidance on weddings.

Why the contribution is important

This is important to so many couple who have weddings booked for the rest of the year, decisions need to be taken on whether to rearrange weddings, cut numbers etc. This is equally important to suppliers whose livelihoods depend on weddings going ahead.

This is important for couples planning weddings for next year too.

This is key to not only people planning their weddings, and stressing about excessive costs and loved ones being able to make it. But also wedding venues, vendors and supplies whose livelihoods have been impacted and will continue to be impacted.

This is key for business and couples planning their big day and in need of clarity over where they stand and what changes can/ need to be made.

So many couples have been saving and looking forward to their weddings. It would only be fair to issue some guidance as we begin to reach wedding season.

Really need clarity as to numbers and timescales when normal weddings can resume as the time and effort that goes into such an event is hugely important for the couple concerned as well as the impact on the many businesses booked for such an event. When will we be allowed to have these gatherings and if they are cancelled this year this will have a hugely adverse affect on the business es that supply weddings. Also we can't wait until the last minute to be told

A clear strategy for the opening of registrars is necessary for both business and people making future plans. Uncertainty causes anxiety. Not all weddings are big social events. Some people want a quiet wedding, so it’s important the right to get married should be reinstated at the earliest opportunity

Please can this information be published as soon as possible to allow couples and businesses to make other plans rather than everything being left to the last minute for cancelling. Due to the number of couples already rescheduled planning anything has and will become very difficult for the next lot of couples who are faced with this over the next few months.

Early clarification is required. Some Scottish Wedding venues are managed by English companies therefore may follow U.K. guidance causing great uncertainty with regard to finance and cancellation fees being returned to Scottish couples.

Clarification on this matter is required. Many venues, brides and suppliers are waiting for guidelines on this so they know if they should move their date or go ahead.
