Clearer Guidelines On Social Distancing If A Partner/Family Member Is Unwell
There should be a reduction in social distancing guidelines in the event of a family member/partner/close friend who becomes unwell with a non Covid related illness, but is perhaps not severe enough for hospitalisation. Examples - food poisoning, seasonal flu, tonsilitis, sprained ankles etc
It should be allowed for each person to nominate a caregiver (with a secondary just in case) in such an event, who would step into that role providing both parties are not displaying Covid symptoms.
This would allow that nominated person to be able to provide care to a different household.
The guidelines do mention care, but it is very vague and non specific

Why the contribution is important
This would ensure that people know that in the event of illness, their loved ones can be cared for - even if it is just making sure they are ok and have food, medicines, supplies etc.
In addition it would help with the family member/loved one's mental wellbeing by having that company (with precautions of course) and the reduction of anxiety that things will be ok if they do fall ill
