Clearly outlined lockdown phases

It's understandable that a timeline is difficult to formulate, but it would be useful to communicate to the public, business owners (and everyone in-between) stages of lockdown and what criteria have to be met in order to make each step. As patience for the lockdown begins to wear and more and more people begin to break rules on social distancing, it would be beneficial to have set targets for communities to work toward. Otherwise consistent and frustrating ambiguity could cause more problems than if we were not to adopt a more structured goal other than staying at home with no path outlined beyond the fatigue of lockdown.

Why the contribution is important

Structured communication helps the public understand why certain things are happening and give hope to those who might feel there is none.

Really good point. Most other countries are doing this, just U.K. and its component parts not doing so. Knowing about relative priority given to different things is important for scrutiny. Important for business to plan how long they need to hold out for. Even ball park figures would help.

I thoroughly agree with this . At the minute we are like children being given the "because i said so" reason for following these rules

This is very important and particularly so in light of the announcement today re a further lockdown in Scotland.
I really don’t understand now why we are not easing restrictions and allowing our economy to restart.

Agreed! We need to know the plan for lockdown easing as making anxiety much worse with no end in sight

Agreed, the need for clear plans in place for each phase of this pandemic is vital. Including what might happen regionally; what might happen in the event of reinfection/rise in new cases; and a task team focussed on looking at what support each community might be needing as a result.
