Colleges opening

My son is on an access course ( he is autistic)at Edinburgh College his first year after leaving school, he loves being at college.
His course was stopped a week before college closed on the 13th March meaning in alll likelihood he will have missed 3 months of his first year & most likely a good chunk of his second year starting in August.
HIs lecturers have been great sending work & creating groups where his class can chat & lots of zoom meetings but it is hard , he misses the routine , he likes learning & being with his classmates & lecturers
He needs to get back
He has good days and bad days & the hardest thing for him is not having a date to look forward to , he doesn't get " when it's safe to do so"
I would like to see " now" being classed as the school/college summer holidays and colleges/ schools being reopened again from say 1st august even if it was a 2 or 3 day week & face masks were compulsory

For our young adults mental health & wellbeing it's important any child has a routine & they are missing out on the importance of social skills whether they are 5 or 18
