Common/central system for Assessing Risk for restarting activities

It would be useful if the Gov could appoint a group to work with the various business types and sporting bodies on a case-by-case basis to risk assess and review activities and agree acceptable physical controls that must be in place, ones that can be used everywhere across the country and improve consistency.

Why the contribution is important

At present, there is huge inconsistency in the approach for assessing risk to restarting activities and this is subject to individual interpretation of what is safe as well. What one person or group thinks is ok is not necessarily ok or acceptable to others, causing anger and frustration. Individual groups, businesses or sporting bodies are all lobbying for their own interests.

All health and safety directors or personal to do RAMS ......with 2m rule and wearing face masks.

We have done this for our company and 60% of the staff could return. But things like loo and tea breaks have to be staggered and some jobs are just not possible

We would also add addition hand and glove stations

Better ventalation through out the work place

Start and finish times staggered by 5 min intervals

    Sign posting etc etc

exercise and mental well being will be a big consideration and assessing which forms are easier to control spacing and not breathing heavily, or some don’t need you to touch equipment, will be safer. All forms of exercise need assessed and considered.

I like this idea and certainly has much it shares with my own for using planning and licensing departments to asses plans for business and their max capacity for covid-19 operating. This could also incoporate an operations plan that would need to be submitted to said system.
