Concerns over school reopening

I think reopening schools too soon will spread the virus within households where people may be vulnerable. For example, kids who have limited/no symptoms infect parents with asthma. There will be certain pressure to send kids if the restrictions are lifted, bit this is increasing risk of spreading this virus.

Why the contribution is important

It increases risk of infection. Schools should be he last thing to reopen, kids don't comprehend the risk and need to remain physically distant/wash hands.

So many children and staff members either have underlying issues or have family members who have health concerns or who are shielding. There needs to be flexibility and consideration for staff and children in these situations. Many families are very concerned about a return to school and the risks it brings.

Education isn’t optional it’s essential. Kids need structure, once it’s safe to do so they should be reopened immediately.

It will do more harm than good in the long run.

Remote teaching should be increased but be more focused and teacher led - especially create the opportunity for one to one video links for tutorials between teacher and pupil.
This would take the weight of parents especially key workers and those working at home and tap in to the vast teacher at home resource.
