Continue home schooling with live online classes, with weekly tasks to submit

Nobody knows how long this situation continue, what we know to keep social distancing help to slow down the virus.
How do you keep social distancing in a school, specially with age 5, 6, 7, 10, 12 ys?
Do not want them to sit on the chair for 1-2-3hours without any contact with their friend???!!! Do not want them to wear mask during this time and focus in this condition on to a teacher who wear mask too...?!!!
Do not want destroy our kids mental health!?!
PLEASE!!!!
If you want to keep the social distancing I can not imagine a different way....

Do countinu please the home/ distance learning.
Add live online classes 2-3 times a week, with task which pupil have to submit weekly.

Why the contribution is important

We do not have idea about the next months.
There is no reason to destroy our kids mental health for 2-3 hours learning in the school.
The 2-3 time, 2-3 hours in the school won't solve the parents problem regarding back to work...there is no job where you go in, start and finish in 3 hours and just go 2-3 times a week...
There are facilities, apps...pupils can clearly hear and see on screen at home what teacher teach... you can do everything which you could do in classroom with social distancing.
At home you can be sure regarding social distancing, kids feel safe, happy, good mentaly.
You are able to teach even 30-40-100 kids at same time.
You have chance, time to wait till situation will be clear and do not have work on another process in 1-2 months.

Live online classes would be great, but we have to remember that not all places in Scotland have broadband, and not all families have available technology to do this, so something would need to be put in place to ensure equitable access and to support children who are digitally disadvantaged

Absolutely agree. There is an inclusion issue as already commented on here but there is nothing to stop us formulating a myriad of solutions for as many students as possible.

If those who can study from home do so and connect live to the teacher and the other students who have to be in the classroom we could certainly attempt a fun safe learning environment.

A great many factors to consider though before rolling anything like this out... for example for some students being on camera themselves would be absolute torture. We need a well informed strategy that addresses the needs of the individuals, their families/guardians as well as learning outcomes.

Live online learning is more engaging and takes the educational aspects away from parents.

Live online classes would be fantastic however i am led to believe that not all local authorities are delivering the same amount of tutoring and home work for our children. I have also heard of school children being issued with laptops and ipads in order to keep education flowing.
Broadband is an issue i can imagine for some,

Live classes are not practical. It would put some pupils at a disadvantage and some would feel left out. Schools have to be flexible about when children are completing work at the moment. Some have little or no access to technology at all, some can only use it in the evening when parents are finished work etc. Thereare also safeguarding issues for both pupils and staff with this technology.

Were not even being given class work to do at the moment.
But anything that ensures children aren't missing out would be great.

While a good idea lack of access to broadband is not the only potential issue here. What about children with disruptive pre school siblings and working parents. How will they take part? Something needs to be put in place to ensure that children can take advantage of the online learning. A very high proportion of infant school age children in particular require both input from a parent with learning and also have siblings that require to be looked after. This becomes virtually impossible with parental working thrown into the mix yet this will also have to happen

I believe on line scchooling should make up a major part of education delivery. Maybe not as good as face to face and their will be difficulties ensuring all pupils have access but it would get schooling moving again, maintain class/teacher contact and is the only way I see we can safely get all children back into schooling in the near future
