A long term idea would be to continue working from home and utilise high street abandoned shops for meeting hubs when office members require to get together. For instance, Paisley High Street is looking to rejuvenate it's footfall by attracting more people/businesses to it's high street.
Why the contribution is important
We do not want a repeat of the 1918 Spanish flu when a second wave added to fatalities. By reducing the movement of the people we can continue to contain a section of the population by working at home. I do respect, this does not work for all.
By continuing to work at home, it assists with social distancing concerns and allows progress to be made with test, trace, isolate and support with the ultimate goal of a vaccination (about 2 years).
Long term it reduces travel time and saves families money, better for work life balance, improves productivity, can improve mental health although isolation can set in if not managed properly, reduces pollution and improves air quality, etc
