Create jobs to tackle climate change and aid economic recovery

The committee on climate change today recommended to use climate investment to support economic recovery and jobs to mitigate the future social and environmental impacts of climate change. Preventing the spread of COVID-19, coming up with a cure of vaccine takes priority now but thoughts need to turn to the future and what a new normal will look like. For me I want it to have cleaner air, electricity and from a personal perspective less commute time to work and utilise the technology we have invested in to work from home (where possible).

It helps get people back to work (safely)
Restarts the economy
Mitigate another future catastrophic event
Good use of government investment to pay people's wages
