Daily Update on the Coronavirus

Why is Nicola Sturgeon the only person to appear at the Podium daily giving updates, when we have other Ministers in various roles who could do the same as effectively if not better.

Why the contribution is important

We need to see how well our Ministers perform and this is more democratic.
To avoid the self promotion of Nicola Sturgeon

Mao Tse Tung didn’t trust anyone around him. It’s a sign of a weak administration that Chairman Sturgeon feels the need to front the press conference.

There have been a variety of relevant people at the daily briefings, as appropriate. I don’t see this as ‘self promotion’.

Agree, I for one have turned off and no longer listen to these daily briefings. What I hear rightly or wrongly is terms like ` when I decide`, `when I view it is right` etc. A lot of `I' and `me' It appears that here is only one person making decisions on this.

I disagree that it should be anyone but the First Minister presenting these briefings, consistency is important.

Though I have only to add that on Sunday for example, the briefing by Jeane Freeman was not available via Twitter, nor anywhere else that I could see.

Each and every briefing should be made available to the public in full, not just via partial tv coverage, especially on Scotgov social media pages.
